David Mancuso started the first Record Pool back in 1975.  Jackie was a contemporary of David and asked him if a Long Island subchapter could be organized.  David suggested Jackie start his own Record Pool, which is what he did two months later.  Although David's Record Pool closed two years after opening, Jackie's Record Pool remains in operation as the longest continually operating Record Pool in existence.  For more information about the New York Music Pool go to www.NewYorkMusicPool.com.
